TC is the author of His Silent Rage. The novel was voted top one hundred by Conversations Magazine. Her sophomore project, a traveling monologue, Single is the New Black, explores single individuals as a marginalized group. The monologue premiered at the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival, was performed at the National Black Theatre Festival, and had its first independent showing at the Charles H. Wright Museum in Detroit, Michigan. Unsatisfied, Damaged, Broken was penned by playwright Andrea Wilson and directed by TC Mattison. This piece follows three African American women as they navigate on-the-job drama that is parallel to the traumas and hopes present in their relationships.
As a podcast host, she is developing and exploring a healthier sense of self. The vision for the podcast Breaking Up Every Sunday was born in 2015 after the passing of her father. This project is dedicated to him. The idea is that most times when we make a commitment to ourselves or a certain change in life, we create a small window to allow our problematic behavior to have one last hoorah. Whether it be a diet, poor financial habits, or a new project, we “break up” with the unhealthy habits on Sunday and start anew on Monday. So, Sunday represents that final ending and new beginning in healing, conversations, and self/social exploration.
TC loves to travel. She is naturally curious and always excited to explore topics related to love, relationships, and self-empowerment. TC currently resides in Atlanta, GA.
